Looking for a future?
At uSwitch, we don’t just want to give you a job; we want to give you a career. Read about the different opportunities available to you within our business.
Our graduate commitment
We know that by employing the best graduates we can form incredibly strong foundations for
our business. To ensure our graduates feel supported in their various roles we have created a
Graduate Programme which aims to:
- create rounded individuals with experience across the business in multiple areas, who can then continue their development as
future business managers.
- support graduates who want to become specialists in a particular discipline or product area
The Generalist Scheme
Graduates who choose the generalist scheme will be able to rotate around three to four areas of
the business over two years, spending around six months working in areas such as:
- Product teams e.g. Home Services
- Testing
- Sales
- Project Management
- Finance
On completing the scheme generalists can either choose a defined career path in one of the areas
they have experienced, or they can follow the generalist path onto the
Future Business Manager Scheme.
Application Criteria:
- 2:1 degree
- Strong analytical, verbal and written skills
- Experience of working with Excel or SPSS
- Strong commercial interest/strong interest in the uSwitch proposition
The Specialist Scheme
This scheme is aimed at graduates who have a very specific idea of their career path. If you wish to work
in a specific product or role at uSwitch then a development plan will be created for you to allow you to
progress your graduate career. Roles that follow this path include Assistant Product Manager, Information Architect
and Developer. To find out if we have a role to suit you please look at our vacancies page.
Training
Regardless of which scheme they choose, all graduates receive internal and external training appropriate
to their career path. We provide core training such as Excel and Human Performance alongside training specific
to a graduate’s chosen career path:
Specialists
- Support for professional qualifications e.g. ACCA, CIM
- Role specific e.g. media training
- On the job training
Generalists
- Negotiation skills
- Finance for non-finance roles
- Management skills
This is by no means an exhaustive list and there is always the opportunity to suggest training you think
would be useful.
