19th April 2005: Utilita increases its gas prices - 19/04/05

Utilita has increased its gas prices with immediate effect. The average price change is 10% (£38) and affects its Get80, Get130, Get180 and Get280 tariffs.

It has also changed the Credit Guarantee Levels for its products. These are now:

  • get80 - 5%
  • get130 - 8.5%
  • get180 - 12%
  • get280 - 10%

1st April 2005: Powergen increases its online tariffs

Powergen has announced price increases for all new customers switching to its online tariff. This will see customers paying an extra 10.3% for electricity and 2.5% for gas.

1st April 2005: Scottish Power increases its gas tariffs

Scottish Power has increased the price of gas by an average of 4.9% affecting all of its gas tariffs apart from prepayment tariffs, which were increased last month.

1st April 2005: Scottish & Southern increases its energy prices

Scottish & Southern (which includes Scottish Hydro Electric, Swalec and Southern Electric) has announced that its prices for energy are set to rise, from 1 March 2005 or, for around 550,000 customers, from 1 July 2005. The average price rise for electricity customers will be 6.7% (3.7% in the north of Scotland) and the price rise for gas customers will be 9.1%.
