How do I apply for heating cover?

We begin by asking you for a few details, such as your postcode (so we can work out which providers cover your area) and how your home is heated (so we can work out what type of cover you will need).

It takes just a few minutes to complete your comparison. Then we are able to calculate the best heating cover plans for you, based on various details:

• The size of your home
• How you heat it
• The age and make of your boiler

Your results will show a list of all the heating cover plans available to you. We highlight the important information, such as the first year cost, the maximum annual cover and what is and isn’t included in the cover. For each plan, we make sure you have easy access to all the small print.

After you decide which cover you want, you may be able to apply for it immediately. We cannot sign you up to all the deals, but we include them in our results to offer you an impartial comparison.

For some plans, you will need to read and agree to the cover’s key facts, which is a requirement by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Once you confirm your application, we take care of the rest. Your new provider will contact you and let you know the date your cover starts. It’s normally in a just few days, although you usually have an initial no claim period, which will be outlined in your contract.
