uSwitch.com has agreed deals with a number of heating cover providers to receive a small commission payment when a customer chooses to apply through us. Our commercial relationships are in place to help make the application process as quick and convenient as possible for our customers. They also enable us to keep this a free service.

Our commercial relationships have no bearing on the ranking of providers in your results.

The prices we use to calculate your results are supplied directly by providers. We monitor the providers in our comparison service continually and update to ensure our results are comprehensive and accurate.

Currently the uSwitch.com heating cover calculator only shows a small proportion of UK providers. Our heating cover team is working on contacting further providers to see if they would like to be included in our comparison service.

The only restrictions we have for including a product on our heating cover service are that it has to be specifically a heating cover product and not include other cover such as home emergency cover, and that the provider be a limited company.

People use uSwitch.com because we help them make the best decision for them. Using our heating cover comparison service enables customers to not only find the cost, but also features and conditions of each product. We don't mind which product you apply for. We just care that you apply for the right product for you.

Please note that, due to Financial Services Authority (FSA) regulations, our customer service team cannot do the following over the telephone:

• Carry out a comparison of heating cover products on your behalf
• Answer questions about individual products

We are able to answer questions about how our heating cover service works and we can help you if you experience any technical issues with the service.

Once you've applied for a product, we can liaise with the provider to ensure the sign up process is as smooth as possible.
