How does uSwitch.com make money?
uSwitch.com has agreed deals with the UK’s principal mobile phone providers to receive a small commission payment when a customer chooses to sign up through us. Our commercial relationships are in place to help make the sign up process as convenient as possible for our customers. They also enable us to keep this a free service. Our commercial relationships have no bearing on the ranking of providers in your results.
Who provides your deal information? Can I trust it?
Although there are hundreds of mobile phone retailers, we only include retailers that meet our strict criteria. This ensures the retailer is large enough and has the necessary systems in place, to provide an efficient and satisfactory level of service to all customers. Each retailer must:
- operate a customer call centre which is open at least nine hours of the day, five days per week
- provide uSwitch with a daily update of full pricing information, in an electronic format specified by uSwitch. uSwitch reserves the right to remove the site of any retailer that does not comply with this
- provide uSwitch.com with published accounts or other suitable credit references upon request
- provide two nominated contacts within their organisation to provide pricing information: one main contact and one back up contact
- only display networks that comply with an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) scheme, as well as monthly statistics concerning the volume of consumers pursuing such schemes

Trusting our data
Tariffs
uSwitch.com manages the tariff information in our service directly. Our team monitors all tariffs continually and updates where required to ensure our tariff information is accurate and comprehensive. Please note our service only includes tariffs that are available to new customers; we do not carry any historic tariffs.
Handset information
Our handset information is provided by a third party mobile data specialist who provides us with a live feed that is updated continuously with the latest handset information. The data we receive covers all mobile phones currently available.Whilst uSwitch.com makes reasonable efforts to check the reliability of this information, uSwitch.com does not guarantee the accuracy of the data supplied, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Deal information
All information relating to the deals you see in your results is supplied by a live data feed directly from the retailers we work with. Whilst uSwitch.com makes reasonable efforts to check the reliability of this information, uSwitch.com does not guarantee the accuracy of the data supplied by retailers, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Although the retailers we work with cover deals from all networks (3, O2, Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone) and the majority of virtual network operators, we are not able to offer 100% coverage of the deals available in the mobile market.
No retailer or network operator has an interest in our company and our results are impartial and independent.
