Can I switch my water company?

The fixed structure of the water system in Britain means we can’t switch our water company. However, the industry is regulated by Ofwat, who puts a limit on price rises and gives water companies incentives to deliver service improvements. There are, however, other choices you can make about your water and sewerage supplies.

In the first instance, you should contact customer services at your water or sewerage company. If this does not resolve the issue, you should then get in touch with your local Consumer Council for Water (CCWater), the watchdog for water consumers in England, Scotland and Wales.
