uSwitch Cashback Explained

From time to time, uSwitch has special offers where you can claim cashback when you switch your gas and/or electricity.

So if you see a cashback symbol when you switch, this is what you need to know about claiming your money:

When will I get my cashback?

It can take up to 12 weeks from the date when you start to get your energy from your new supplier.  This is not the date when you switched on the uSwitch website.

This is because we have to wait for your new supplier to confirm that you've switched and your supply is live before we can start the ball rolling.

To help your switch go through as quickly as possible, please look out for correspondence from your new energy company and provide them with any information they need, like your meter readings.

If you cancel your switch or your new supplier is not able to switch you, then you will not be eligible for cashback.

Who will pay me my cashback?

The cashback will be paid by uSwitch, not your new energy supplier.

How will the cashback be paid?

If you opted to pay for your gas and electricity by Direct Debit, then we will pay your cashback straight into your bank account.

If you switched both your gas and electricity, then you will get two separate payments (one for each type of fuel.)

If you opted for another payment method when you switched, uSwitch will send a cheque to the person named as the account holder. The cheque will be sent to the address of the property which had its gas and/or electricity switched.
