Amazon cashback this Christmas for Santander 123 Credit Card customers
Santander offers 1% cashback on all Amazon.co.uk purchases over the Christmas period
Santander 123 Credit Card customers will be able to save on Christmas and New Year spending with the introduction of a 1% cashback offer on all Amazon.co.uk purchases.
The offer begins on 1 November 2013 and ends on 31 January 2014, giving customers a 1% reward each time they use their Santander 123 Cashback Credit Card with the UK arm of Amazon.
This promotion is in addition to the existing high street and online cashback offers provided by the Santander credit card.
Currently customers can already receive 1 per cent cashback for supermarket spending, 2 per cent cashback for department store purchases and 3 per cent cashback from purchases on petrol, rail and Transport for London.

CEO of Santander Cards, Alan Mathewson says they have “responded” to customers’ needs and believe the length of the offer will be a bonus for those also trying to make the most of the January sales.
“Christmas can be an expensive time of year, with the cost of presents, food or travel to family and friends continuing to rise, so our new Amazon bonus cashback offer alongside our existing everyday spend cashback categories will help customers save even more money during the festive period,” he said.
The Santander 123 Cashback Credit Card has an annual fee of £24, but this will be waived for 123 Current Account customers if they sign up for the credit card before 31 December 2013.
With the American Express Platinum Cashback Card offering 5% cashback for the first three months, customers seeking a cashback credit card for the Christmas period will have quite a few options available to them.
Personal finance expert at uSwitch, Michael Ossei believes that a cashback credit card is a “no brainer” for those who can pay off their balance in full every month.
“Credit card companies are very mindful of the elongated shopping lists that consumers are faced with at this time of year and are responding with an enticing range of products.”
“As providers ‘up the ante’ with more cards and better deals, consumers will only benefit from more choice and greater value,” Mr Ossei said.
