However, SIM-only mobile broadband is aimed at people who already own a dongle or have a mobile broadband enabled laptop. Thus, when you choose a SIM-only broadband offer, you’re only buying a SIM to insert into your dongle or laptop and a monthly usage allowance.
Why should I choose SIM-only mobile broadband?
SIM-only mobile broadband means savings: Contract terms for standard mobile broadband deals include the cost of the dongle. Consequently, they are often more expensive than SIM-only broadband offers, where all you are paying for is your usage and the SIM.
SIM-only mobile broadband: is cheaper than opting for a pay as you go mobile broadband deal. These offer total freedom to users to add credit only when they need it. However, they’re also much more expensive per MB of use than contract packages. By choosing a contract SIM-only mobile broadband deal, you get cheaper usage and a fair degree of flexibility. In short, you’re getting the best of both worlds.
Greater freedom than contract mobile broadband: SIM-only mobile broadband is perfect for people who are wary of committing to a lengthy contract. That’s because you’re free to opt out at any time with just 30 days notice without incurring a cancellation charge.
