Posted 16th July 2007 at 11:10am by Alex Buttle
Sheffield based ISP, PlusNet have wasted no time after hearing of the sale of Pipex to Tiscali by offering a specialised offer for those wishing to migrate from the newly acquired ISP.
PlusNet in wake of this acquisition are offering those customers wishing to move from Pipex due to uncertainty about its future, their first month free if they move to PlusNet.
"Tiscali acquiring Pipex will create massive customer churn in the consumer broadband market” said Neil Armstrong, Products Director at PlusNet. “Pipex is ranked fifth for customer service by Uswitch and Tiscali ranked seventh. We expect Pipex customers will react to this move by voting with their feet. Broadband users want speed, reliability and first class customer service, not mass market offerings."
“We’re inviting customers of Pipex, Toucan, Freedom2Surf, Bulldog and Nildram to take advantage of this new special offer”, he continued. “Given how popular we expect the offer to be it will only be available for a limited time.”
Those customers who migrate their broadband across to PlusNet will receive their first month free. Those who move both their broadband and phone services will also receive their first month free on both services. In addition they will have the security of PlusNets 90-day guarantee
