Demon broadband offers 3G
Posted 7th August 2007 at 1:41pm by Alex Buttle
Demon this week announced the addition of 3G mobile broadband to its current services it offers. This will enable people to access emails, surf the web and download documents all whilst on the move.
Demon hope that their new 3G broadband will help small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) to implement more flexible working practices and to increase productivity. By connecting a small device into your laptop with a simple plug-and-play configuration, users are able to connect to the internet, with the device giving a quick and secure connection.
For businesses, this means staff who are away from their desk are still able to continue to work on a laptop with the same amount of productivity they would have in the office.
Mark Charlesworth, commented on the addition of 3G to the services Demon offer and said: “More and more time is being spent away from the office as we travel regularly to meet colleagues, prospects and clients. For SMBs to be able to compete effectively, they need to be able to stay in touch and access critical information whilst on the move. The THUS and Demon remote network solutions turn time that would otherwise be wasted into valuable work time and give users the freedom to remain connected. The latest addition to our range, the Mobile 3G Broadband device is a fast and easy way to get connected and stay productive while away from the office.”
Currently Demon’s 3G offering is only for business broadband, with no plan as yet to make it available to home users. The device is available as a stand alone offering or as part of a package Demon provide for businesses including telephony and voice conferencing.
