TalkTalk scores with broadband customers
Posted 16th August 2007 at 5:01pm by Alex Buttle
Carphone Warehouse moves to improve customer service for its TalkTalk and AOL broadband services have received a ringing endorsement from customers.
A study conducted by Point Topic showed that 73 per cent of TalkTalk customers intend to remain with the company, suggesting that the problems that previously hampered the network have now been overcome.
Dr Katja Mueller, research director at Point Topic, said: "This reflects the efforts that Carphone Warehouse has put into their customer service. Mr Dunstone [founder and chief executive of the group] has repeatedly claimed that the company was addressing the issues and the research bears him out."
Further encouraging results were recorded across the sector, with 77 per cent of those surveyed saying they are either very or fairly satisfied with the service they have received.
However, the results made for worrying reading for Orange, with just 45 per cent of its subscribers saying they intend to remain with the broadband provider.
