AOL unveils £9.99 wireless broadband deal
Posted 10th September 2007 at 5:23pm by Alex Buttle
AOL has today launched its £9.99 wireless broadband offer through the Carphone Warehouse retail network.
The offer entitles customers download speeds of 8Mbps, for just £9.99 for the initial six months. After this period the price rises to £14.99.
Also included are unlimited evening and weekend calls to UK landlines, for those with BT rental landlines, wireless security, a free wireless router and 24-hour customer support.
News of the product launch comes after AOL yesterday went live with its free Dell laptop offer, for customers subscribing to its Wireless Plus broadband deal for two years. The deals also include calls packages on a pay as you go or monthly subscription basis.
Priced at £19.99, demand for the deal has exceeded expectations with the number of laptops made available increasing from an initial 100,000 to 160,000.
Earlier this year AOL was named the number one broadband provider for overall customer support by price comparison website Uswitch.com.
