Rebranded Pipex delivers wireless
Posted 29th February 2008 at 11:00am by Alex Buttle
The business arm of Pipex has been rebranded as Vialtus Solutions and is offering WiMAX wireless broadband.
Maria Cappella, managing director at Vialtus Solutions, said that she was delighted with the company's refreshed image and stated that it represented a new focus for the group that would see it look to provide complex business network solutions for its customers.
Pipex unveiled the new name to coincide with the announcement that it is to begin development of a WiMAX-powered wireless broadband service for its business customers.
With no fixed line required, the technology gives users access to high-speed broadband services within WiMAX hotspot zones.
"The benefits of WiMAX technology are that it's simple to set up and extremely user friendly, with no wires and availability in areas that alternatives such as DSL and cable systems may not be able to achieve," claims Andy Sumner, managing director of Vanco UK, which will be working with Vialtus to deliver the service.
