3 offers mobile broadband starter kits
Posted 10th June 2008 at 11:00am by Alex Buttle
Mobile broadband provider 3 has launched new starter kits to get people up and running in minutes.
Containing a mobile broadband ZTE or Huawei e220 dongle, which is preloaded with set usage allowances, the new packs are aimed at those who want to avoid the hassle of organising their own top-ups.
The kits come with set amounts of data which can be used over a period of three, 12 or 24 months and start at £69.99.
For this price, users can download 3 GB within a three-month period, while the 12-month package allows usage of 12 GB. The 24-month plan offers 24 GB.
"While 3's standard pay as you go offer is already market leading in its own right, the starter kit is set to be up to 20 per cent cheaper for new customers," the company commented.
Once the pre-paid period is over, customers will be able to continue to use the dongles by purchasing additional credit instore or by phone.
In other recent developments, T-Mobile and 3 recently announced a partnership agreement designed to further improve mobile broadband access across the UK.
