Comedian in dongle idea
Posted 29th July 2008 at 4:00pm by Alex Buttle
Comedian Dave Gorman, famous for attempting to meet 54 men with his own name, has come up with a customer service idea for BT.
Mr Gorman believes that BT should provide customers whose broadband connections become cut off with replacement dongles while the problem is fixed, in the same way that garages provide courtesy cars while drivers' cars are in need of repair.
BT has angered Gorman by refusing to reply to his request for a dongle during a three day broadband outage.
"I am currently connected to the internet using a dial up connection," explained Gorman. "It's not very good."
He fumed: "I'm not a violent man but right now I would cheerfully hurt someone from BT.
"I don't understand why BT can't provide me with one of those for a few days. Y'know, just until they've fixed the problem."
Gorman once presented a show entitled 'Important Astrology Experiment', in which he lived his life according to horoscope advice.
