Which? slams Orange broadband
Posted 28th August 2008 at 9:29am by Alex Buttle
Product review specialist Which? has given the thumbs down to Orange's broadband offerings in a recent publication.
In a blow for the provider, Orange broadband was included in the consumer magazine's 'Don't Buys' list.
The news follows the bad publicity of a scathing report on the BBC's Watchdog programme last year.
This year, uSwitch named Orange the 'Worst Broadband Provider', adding to statistics which showed 44,000 customers left the firm in the six months up until June 30th this year.
"Orange's broadband service scores poorly across the board and it received one of the worst overall satisfaction score of all ISPs," said a Which? spokesman.
After subscriptions for the provider's fixed-line offering fell by 31,000 during the first quarter of 2008, Orange came up with a new deal offering a free 2Mb home broadband service to mobile phone customers on £35 per month contracts.
