AOL Broadband and TalkTalk sign router deal

The Carphone Warehouse has put pen to paper in an agreement with D-Link to supply routers to its broadband customers.

Subscribers to TalkTalk and AOL Broadband, subsidiaries of Carphone Warehouse, will be supplied with DSL-2640R Wireless G broadband routers.

Under the 24-month contract, D-Link will provide a disposal service, operated by Netlink, which will allow customers to get rid of their old routers in an environmentally-conscious manner.

Commenting on the agreement, Alan Harten of the Telecom said: "TalkTalk and AOL Broadband's business has grown by more than 21 per cent in 2007, which means they now have 2.6 million users.

"It looks like one of the big beneficiaries from this success will be D-Link."

TalkTalk recently launched an online creative writing experiment which hopes to construct the longest collaborative story ever.

    So much for Carphone Warehouse sales patter.....I have had a distrous 3 years. Am totally confused...have AOL Broadband @£34.99 p.m. AOL Talk free eve and weekend calls, Talk Talk line rental and free eve and weekend calls, £12.50 basic. Whats that all about.Aol were to contact current provider ...yea right!
    When I tried to cancel Talk Talk they blocked my line aagghh!
    AOL never replied to my emails!
    Need to change to an honest supplier. Maybe a usb dongle is the answer and do away with line rental!
    Travel a lot. Have wireless pc and lap top. Need honest advice. Ive been ill and have just noticed all these debits on my bank statement. Help
    No one has as yet mentioned this D-Link to me.

    So how come I am paying £14.99 for AOL Broadband using my BT Voyager 105 when you can offer wireless BB ultimately at £12.99? I am of course also a user of Talk Talk for both calls and landline.
