Orange in new laptop offer
Posted 7th November 2008 at 4:00pm by Alex Buttle
Orange has launched a new mobile broadband laptop package on two-year deals.
Customers opting for the provider's £25 per month, 3GB download allowance mobile broadband deal will be given a free Asus Eee 901 laptop.
The machine is worth £300 and comes with embedded 3G technology - it is also ideal for getting online on the move, weighing only 1.1 kilogrammes.
However, despite the tempting nature of the offer, Broadband Choices product director Michael Phillips has urged consumers to think carefully before signing up.
He said: "However, 24 months is a very long time to be tied into a mobile broadband contract, especially since new offers are launching all the time with bigger download allowances or lower headline rates - offers that you'll miss out on if you're tied into an outdated contract for two years."
Mobile broadband customers wishing for a non-laptop deal can opt for Orange's standard £15 per month package.
