Virgin Mobile's £5 deal
Posted 3rd November 2008 at 10:00am by Alex Buttle
Customers will be able to enjoy Virgin Mobile's mobile broadband service for just £5, providing they are a subscriber to Virgin Media's home broadband.
After paying £25 for a US modem stick Virgin Media contract holders will be able to add the 3G service for just a fiver on top of their existing deals.
Those interested in the offering are reminded that only a 1GB data allowance is included in the basic package.
However, on the flip side mobile broadband users exceeding this limit will only be charged 1.46p for every MB they go over by.
"Our 1GB mobile broadband is great for people who need home broadband but also want access to the internet on the move," said Virgin Media's managing director for mobile, Graeme Oxby.
Virgin Media home broadband customers on L or Xl deals will qualify for the reduced mobile broadband services - those signed up to different contracts will have to pay the £10 per month charge.
