T-Mobile will allow its mobile broadband users to connect to the internet and save files on the same device with the launch of the iCON 431.

Manufactured by Dutch company Option, which has combined two functions usually requiring two different devices in one product.

The iCON 431 is able to download at speeds of up to 7.2Mb and upload at speeds of up to 5.7 Mb.

It also comes with an easily-installed CD for set-up, after which users are free to use the device to serve their mobile broadband needs.

Jan Callewaert, CEO of Option, commented: "Option has supplied data cards to T-Mobile UK over the years.

"We are delighted that now our USB modems will contribute to the continued success of T-Mobile's mobile broadband proposition in Europe."

In the second and third quarters of this year, T-Mobile has seen a 35 per cent increase in data device sales.
