Windows 7 could improve 3G broadband
Posted 25th February 2009 at 4:00pm by Alex Buttle
Connectivity is set to be a major area for improvement in the new Windows operating system.
Experts have been excited by the suggestion that mobile broadband services from 3G-embedded laptops will be improved by the forthcoming Windows 7.
Brandon LeBlanc, the Windows Client Communications Team's Windows communications manager, gave commentators food for thought with a statement which suggests that mobile broadband will benefit.
It read: "Windows 7's Mobile Broadband enhancements give people a more reliable way to connect to the internet using a wireless modem."
However, this exciting new release is not likely to enhance connections in the near future.
Broadband Genie reveals: "Consumers will have to wait a little longer before they experience these improvements for themselves; Windows 7 is not scheduled for general release until later this year, or early next year."
