New business broadband tariff from Orange
Posted 7th April 2009 at 3:07pm by Alex Buttle
Orange has revealed a new broadband tariff for small and medium-sized business.
The new 500Mb data bundle has been developed in response to research from the provider which found that 77 per cent of employees use work laptops and mobile devices to access the internet during lunch breaks.
Orange suggests that 500Mb of data will be enough to service business activities and any extra-curricular surfing habits without customers reaching the limit or experiencing additional costs.
The mobile broadband provider pointed out that 500Mb equates to 175,000 emails, 125 music downloads, 48 hours of web browsing or 192 hours of instant messaging.
Martin Lyne, Director of Orange's small business division, said: "In today's economy, businesses and their employees need a break.
"We know everybody's working hard so there's enough capacity in our new data bundle to combine work with some fun such as social networking and entertainment that doesn't penalise either staff or the bill payer."
The new data bundle will cost £4.25 per month and replaces the previous 10Mb and 250Mb tariffs.
