Broadband embedded Apple netbooks edging closer?
Posted 7th May 2009 at 11:54am by Jonathan Leggett
Discovered initially by Computerworld, the job posting is being interpreted as a further sign that embedded broadband will be a feature of forthcoming netbooks.
Speculation about embedded broadband featuring on the devices stemmed initially from an earlier news item which claimed that AT&T is gearing up to offer them on broadband contracts in the US Meanwhile, as we told you last month, Orange has emerged as an early favourite to offer broadband-embedded Apple laptops in the UK. That in itself was something of a surprise, given that Apple’s iPhone partner was rival network O2.
Whatever happens, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

As i am considering going with an offer to purchase mobile broadband with free laptop, this news is exciting me even more. Do i wait, how long though? I do want it, now! not months or even weeks away but as the contracts are for a long period of time you are tied. Can you upgrade like with a mobile phone during one contract or do you have to see it through first?
