Monks get connected as broadband arrives in the wilderness

Now, we’re only too aware that Trappist monks are used to suffering in silence. But nonetheless it can’t have been easy to stay stoical in the face of the crippling painful dial-up service they’ve hitherto been forced to endure. Happily, now that they’re equipped with super fast broadband they’re planning to grow their online shop into a thriving business.
Once again, the transformative – and nigh-on miraculous – power of a broadband connection on people’s lives is laid bare for all to see. Now we’ll just to have see if the monks’ vow of silence survives the myriad communication tools now at their disposal.
