Sky Broadband is hoping to attract rival Tiscali's customers with an offer of £50 credit and a free digibox for those who switch over.

The offer is open to existing subscribers of the Italian operator who are reluctant to join TalkTalk's service following its £236 million takeover of Tiscali earlier this month.

Users have until June 11th to claim their £50 discount and free Sky+ set-top box, worth £99, from Sky.

Jonathan Leggett, staff writer at Top 10 Broadband, said: "Sky's money-saving broadband offer is excellent, especially if you were already considering taking an on-demand service.

"We anticipate that Tiscali's customer base will be targeted increasingly by broadband providers in months to come."

Sky TV subscribers who currently receive some of their services from Tiscali also have until June 11th to sign up for the provider's Mid or Max Broadband packages, which will offer credit of £25 and £50 respectively.

To find out more information on the deal, customers should browse the Sky page of Top 10 Broadband.

Contacted Sky to sign up - the rep I spoke to knew nothing about it! Pity they forgot to tell their staff.

I think sky has got them good here, because people are having some problems with tiscali and sky reviews are very good.

I've just got off the phone from Sky, as a current Sky+ subsciber I wanted more information, the call centre know nothing about this offer, suggesting I read the internet. I think I'll be waiting for other companies to make me an offer I cannot refuse!!
