Pipex boosts broadband upstream to 2.5Mb
Posted 5th June 2009 at 9:36am by Ewan Taylor-Gibson
Broadband provider Pipex Business has increased data upstream on its internet packages from 1Mb to 2.5Mb.
The operator, which is part of Talk Talk's Tiscali UK arm, is now offering more than double the upstream speeds boasted by a number of other business broadband packages, such as those supplied by BT.
Faster upload connections are seen as particularly useful by organisations that frequently require extra bandwith to transfer large files to the internet.
The greater upload speeds are available with its Pro and Premium Plus packages, which both offer downstreams of up to 16Mb, provided the user is connected to an ADSL2+ telephone exchange.
Pipex's Pro package is available for £19.50 per month, while the Premium Plus deal, which includes 500Kbit bandwidth and Enhanced Care technical assistance, costs £49 per month.
Both of the broadband provider's business connections currently include unlimited monthly usage, 20 email mailboxes and one static IP address as standard.

I'm looking to put free Wi-Fi in my restaurant and bar. What sort of money would this cost?
