BT Broadband has announced that it has pushed back the deadline on its latest mobile broadband dongle offer by a month.

Originally set to expire today (July 31st), the offer to provide pre-pay dongle owners with free usage of up to £180 has been extended to August 31st.

The offer is available to all customers who sign up for an 18-month BT Total Broadband or Home and Away contract, or those who buy a stand-alone pre-paid dongle for £129.99.

Users signing up for the offer will be given 1GB of downloads free a month for the duration of the contract, which works out equivalent to £180 of usage.

The dongle provides access of up to 7.2Mb over the companies 3G network, which covers 80 per cent of the UK.

BT Total Broadband Option One is available to new customers and costs £7.78 a month for the first three months, before reverting to £15.65 for the remainder of the 18-month contract. There is also a £49.99 one-off dongle fee.
