Under the terms of what the broadband supplier has dubbed a ‘dongle amnesty’, Mancunians will soon be able to swap their existing bit of kit for an O2 pay as you go dongle. The offer starts on June 30th.

O2 Logo hi res

It’s an aggressive ploy to grab market share from rival broadband providers, but one of which Top 10 Broadband can only admire. Not least since, given the award-winning customer service that O2 boasts, it can expect to retain those new-found customers for years hence.

O2 hasn’t yet confirmed whether it’ll be rolling out the amnesty nationwide, but we’d be amazed if it didn’t. We’ll be sure to keep you informed as soon as we hear…

I think that 02 is one of the best mobile phone and mobile broadband providers in the market at present unfortunately I live in a town which only get low speed mobile broadband not HSDPA I got their broadband USB stick pay and go last christmas and have no bother surfing the web downloads are slow but its my own fault because i did not check for the coverage at my post code when i put the post code into the 02 coverage page they advise me that there broadband cover is not good enough in my area and tell me not to buy there dongle.

I've tried to use pay and go mobile broadband and also pay and go iphone and I'd love to give o2 the slowest provider award both pay&go apn's are the slowest in the UK!
I'm one of the customers who expect good speed and coverage. The customer service is not a priority for me.
