Cheap satellite broadband deal from Avonline
Posted 1st September 2009 at 10:53am by Oliver Folkard
Avonline has reduced the installation fee of its 3.6Mb Tooway satellite broadband service by £100.
Users in rural areas where conventional broadband is patchy can now have the home satellite broadband hardware installed and activated for £599 (excluding VAT).
Tooway offers 3.6Mb downloads and 384Kb uploads for £29.99 per month and has seen a strong uptake in interest over the past few months, according to Avonline.
There are four different Tooway satellite deals available from the broadband provider, all of which provide the same download and upload speeds but different data usage plans.
Craig Roberts, manager of the company's broadband services, said: "Avonline has been working hard to bring reliable satellite broadband access to thousands of customers located in rural locations and not spots or with a slow or unreliable ADSL service."
He suggested that the internet service provider will continue to expand its range of satellite broadband packages for rural customers in the coming months.
Avonline launched Tooway Broadband, which allows consumers to sign up to one month contracts instead of long-term deals, across the UK and Europe on July 1st.
