Wireless mobile broadband lands on Top10 with 3 MiFi
Posted 17th September 2009 at 4:44pm by Jonathan Leggett
Available now, the Mi-Fi is effectively a mini, portable wireless modem that allows multiple users to share the same connection. So if you’re out in the park with friends, you can all benefit. Best of all is that the 3G broadband connection it provides can be shared between games consoles, phones and laptops provided they are within a 10m radius of the MiFi.

And it’s keenly priced too. For £69.99, consumers can sign up for 3’s handy “Broadband 5GB 1 month” deal. This gets them the device and 5GB of data. After this is used up they can add 5GB of usage for £15 and are free to cancel at any time.
Alternatively, consumers can pay an upfront charge of £99.99 for the Mi-Fi 'Ready to Go' kit. This packages together the modem and 3GB of data to be used over a three month period, after which the modem can be used on a Pay As You Go basis.
