Eclipse Internet prepares for postal strike
Posted 22nd October 2009 at 3:05pm by Oliver Folkard
Eclipse Internet has introduced business continuity plans in an effort to prevent its broadband customers from being affected by the national postal strike.
The broadband provider has switched its delivery partner in order to ensure the computer hardware it sends through to customers is distributed without any major problems.
In addition, the company has called on firms to think about their own continuity plans and whether they could benefit from technology such as hosted and shared platforms.
Clodagh Murphy, Director of Eclipse, said: "Business continuity planning can range from altering delivery partners to relocating your business operation and employee workplace."
She added: "Most often, the key to keeping your business running smoothly is to have the right technology solutions in place."
Eclipse Internet also recently called on companies to improve their green credentials and reduce overheads by becoming energy efficient.
The broadband provider is advising firms on such issues as part of Energy Saving Week.
