Eclipse Internet gets SimplicITy backing
Posted 13th November 2009 at 2:41pm by Oliver Folkard
Eclipse Internet has become the recommended broadband provider for a company behind a new computer designed to help older people get online.
SimplicITy Computers has created the PC, which includes a specially-designed welcome screen created for those with little IT experience to easily check their emails and browse the internet.
The firm has revealed it is suggesting Eclipse to its customers as it feels the broadband provider's Home Lite and Home Select packages are the most suitable for internet beginners.
SimplicITy's Nigel Houghton said the company has had positive experiences with Eclipse and is "impressed by their approach to customer service".
He added that this could prove "ideal for everyone, but particularly those using the internet for the first time who may need a little extra assistance".
Last month, Eclipse Internet urged businesses to consider improving their green credentials as part of Energy Saving Week.
The broadband provider offered tips to its clients on ways to cut energy costs as part of the initiative.
