Broadband provider 'offering cash for home naming rights'
Posted 14th December 2009 at 9:25am by Ewan Taylor-Gibson
TalkTalk is offering families £250 to claim the naming rights of their home, it has been reported.
According to the Press Association, the broadband provider aims to rename 50 properties by the end of the month as part of its UK marketing drive.
Postmen could soon be delivering mail to addresses such as TalkTalk Mansions, The TalkTalk Home and TalkTalk Towers, it is claimed.
Elaine and Darren Snow, from Sanderstead, South Croydon, recently adopted a title for their detached house, becoming the first customers to take up the offer.
Their home will now be known as TalkTalk Towers for one year.
TalkTalk Communications Director Mark Schmid commented: "If the great sporting and cultural arenas of the nation can be renamed then why not individual homes?
"We aim to have 50 deals completed by the end of the year across the country and to do more next year."
Last week, the growing firm announced plans to hire 60 new customer service agents at its Waterford contact centre in Ireland.
