Ofcom: Broadband satisfaction levels rise
Posted 10th December 2009 at 2:52pm by Ewan Taylor-Gibson
A new study from Ofcom has revealed that broadband consumers are highly satisfied with the services they are receiving.
The Consumer Experience report from the communications regulator found that improved levels of choice and value for money has led many people to be positive over the packages they are subscribing to.
It was also revealed that the number of consumers who took discounted bundled deals rose by five per cent last year, as people are getting wise to the potential benefits of combining broadband, home phone and TV services.
According to the research, some consumers can enjoy savings of up to £140 a year by taking up the deals.
Finally, the study outlined that longer contracts are becoming increasingly popular with consumers, as they look to cut monthly fees.
Ofcom recently confirmed that it is looking to explore the potential of new technology that could provide wireless broadband services to rural areas.
