A new high definition (HD) channel has been launched by Sky for those who have signed up to both its broadband and TV packages.
MGM HD has been established via a joint venture between the broadband provider and the film studio of the same name, and it will showcase remastered versions of classic movies from the company's library.
Among those expected to be shown on the channel which is at position 345 on Sky's electronic programme guide are Woody Allen titles such as Annie Hall and the Pink Panther series.
Mike Darcey, Chief Operating Officer of Sky, said: "Offering a range of classic MGM movies, some for the very first time, this new channel joins an already impressive HD movie offering on Sky.
"It also means that customers can enjoy more classic movies the way they deserve to be seen, in stunning HD."
Earlier this month, Sky added E4 HD to its digital TV offering.
