Vodafone remote working solution awarded quality mark
Posted 27th January 2010 at 3:09pm by Ewan Taylor-Gibson
Broadband provider Vodafone has announced that its Secure Remote Access solution has been given a government quality mark.
The technology, which is designed to ensure staff comply with IT security issues while working remotely, has been given the CESG Claims Tested Mark certificate from the information assurance arm of the Government Communications Headquarters.
Vodafone is the first mobile operator to receive the mark, which means public sector organisations can recognise the solution as one that has met independent assurance testing.
Jonathan Rutherford, Head of Enterprise and Public Sector Marketing at Vodafone UK, said the company was delighted to receive the quality mark.
He added: "We are delighted that CESG has provided the extra recognition that will allow departments and agencies to now make a fully informed, independently validated purchasing decision."
Earlier this month, Vodafone launched its new Sure Signal box, which allows users to boost the mobile phone or broadband signal in their homes and offices.
