Consumers across the UK would like to see mobile broadband speeds improved, a new poll has revealed.

The survey by ISPreview.co.uk found that while over half of Brits have an interest in the technology, 25 per cent feel that it is vital for the speed of services available through the technology to be increased.

It was also found that 23 per cent of mobile broadband users would like bigger usage allowances, while 22 per cent think services need to be more reliable.

Almost 18 per cent added that they would like to see the price lowered on mobile broadband products.

The release of the findings has come after a survey by independent research company YouGov revealed that Orange is the top mobile broadband provider in the UK.

According to the study, the company ranked top for customer services and reliability, while it also rated well in categories such as ease of use and upload speeds.
