Plusnet hit by broadband outage
Posted 8th February 2010 at 3:07pm by Ewan Taylor-Gibson
Plusnet has revealed that some of its customers were affected by a broadband outage this morning (February 8th).
The broadband provider has revealed in a service status update that a problem with one of its gateways led to a number of customers being disconnected from the internet earlier today.
Chris Parr, a customer support representative for the company, had advice for those looking to get back online.
He explained: "We suggest that you switch off your modem or router for 30 minutes before powering it back up and attempting to reconnect.
"We would like to apologise for the inconvenience and will provide another update later today."
Plusnet recently announced the launch of a new range of business broadband deals.
All three of the new packages offer download speeds of up to 8Mb, a wireless router, free off-peak usage and 24/7 support, as well as different usage allowances, webspace capacities and upload speeds.
