Broadband provider Eclipse Internet has won a major award for its quality of customer service.
The company was given the Best Customer Focus prize at the Best Business Awards 2010, which are held annually to celebrate efforts to improve both public and private sector excellence.
Andrew Areoff, Chair of the judging panel, said that Eclipse was "one of a rare breed" due to its ability to embed important customer service values into its operations.
"They continually strive to stay ahead of the game, typified by the super-fast fibre-optic connection recently introduced," he explained.
"Eclipse Internet appreciates that happy customers will stay with the firm and they go that extra mile to deliver on their promises."
At the end of January, Eclipse Internet's parent company KCOM Group confirmed that its recent trading performance had been in line with expectations.
It added that a good cash performance had been particularly beneficial.
