A new karaoke-themed channel is set to be added to Virgin Media's broadband TV packages, it has been revealed.

The fibre-optic broadband provider has announced that the Karaoke Channel will be available to its XL TV subscribers and feature more than 100 videos of hits from a range of genres.

New songs will be added to the channel every month, while users will be able to access the tunes whenever they like through Virgin Media's on-demand service.

Virgin Media's Director of On-Demand Aleks Habdank said that the channel, alongside films and TV shows, means that the company is offering "the very best digital entertainment for a great night in".

He added: "The Karaoke Channel is a perfect fit for our on-demand TV line-up, promising great fun with an outstanding choice of the most popular songs."

Virgin Media's on-demand service is now being regularly used by over 2.1 million of the company's subscribers.
