Consumers urged to bundle TV and broadband before World Cup

British consumers have been urged to ensure their TV and broadband bundle offers high definition (HD) capabilities ahead of the World Cup.
With Freeview only offering the matches in standard definition in some areas, broadband internet subscribers will need to make sure their connection speeds and HD bundles are up to scratch if they want to watch England in all their glory.
According to the Daily Telegraph, people should investigate what is available to them on Freeview and Freesat before choosing from the array of HDTV and internet service providers.
The paper stated: "If HD is not available in your area for free, it is generally possible to get it by signing up to a paid-for television package.
"This will also ensure you can see all of the sports you wish including live English Premier League and Scottish Premier League matches."
Recently, UK broadband provider TalkTalk announced that it is backing an unofficial World Cup song created by X-Factor mogul Simon Cowell.
