Consumers seeking mobile broadband services with a low-cost or free laptop have been offered another option by 3.

The internet service provider (ISP) has added the Compaq CQ62 laptop to its range, replacing the previous CQ61 version.

Available with a 2.2 GHz AMD Sempron Processor, the 15.6-inch high definition laptop runs off a six-cell Lithium-Ion battery and offers 2GB memory plus 160GB hard disk storage.

The model, which is available from £30 per month when taking out a mobile broadband contract, also comes with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed and a free 15GB dongle.

Subscribers on 24-month contract gain access to a free ZTE MF112 Black USB Modem, enabling them to access the internet on the move.

Earlier this month, 3 took out an advert in the Metro newspaper to promote its latest Dell Mini 102 netbook and dongle deal.

I have just ordered this laptop today, Sunday 11th July 2010 after I already had a contract for 24 months for a Mobile Broadband Dongle which I took out 3 months ago.

3 were good enough to upgrade me to this laptop early free of charge and I can expect the laptop to come either Tuesday 13th or Wednesday 14th July 2010 and it's only £30.00 per month.

All features are good but i have issue about my friends who bought Compaq laptops just 3 months back. One night his laptop buzzed off his ram gone, battery gone. Why it happen only in use of 3 months then what is durability of piece?
