Broadband provider 3 has revealed how its MiFi service could be useful for people who have purchased Apple's iPad.

The internet service provider has taken out an advert in the Metro newspaper which it uses to outline how its mobile Wi-Fi dongle might provide the right service to those using the tablet devices.

3 has also stated that broadband users should not just take the provider's word for it, as technology website Macworld recently awarded it the title of Best iPad Accessory.

MiFi dongles are available from £39.99 and allow users to create their own Wi-Fi hotspot for use with up to five devices.

A data allowance of 5GB is available for just £15 a month through the service.

3 recently announced an upgrade to the devices with which it offers MiFi services.

The company is now using the Huawei E585 on all bundles except for the in-car pay-as-you-go deal, which still features the Huawei E5830.

3 should push this a bit more. Still not sure that many people know what a MiFi is.

I agree @Tectotaller. My workplace has wifi but only for guests! Plus they've recently decided to block some of the fun sites such as BBC iPlayer and Youtube. Not a problem for me anymore with this MiFi and my iPad.
