Cross-county cycle duo to test new TalkTalk dongles
Posted 26th August 2010 at 2:45pm by Oliver Folkard
Broadband provider TalkTalk has revealed that its upcoming mobile broadband service is to be trialled by two people on a charity bike ride.
Sarah Beckingsale and Steve Mitchell are kicking off their fundraising trip for the Great Western Air Ambulance, which will see them travel from Land's End to John o' Groats, today (August 26th).
As part of TalkTalk's sponsorship of the charity event, the company is allowing the pair to beta test its new mobile internet dongles as they keep friends and family updated on their progress.
Mark Schmid, Communications Director of TalkTalk, outlined on the company's official blog that the firm intends to launch the mobile broadband services in the UK later this year.
TalkTalk recently confirmed that this year's Digital Heroes Awards initiative is set to be launched in the next few weeks.
The firm's official blog revealed that both Daily Mirror and Citizens Online are supporting this year's event.
