Internet service provider (ISP) O2 is celebrating after being nominated for two prizes at a major technology awards ceremony.
The company has been shortlisted in the Best Broadband ISP and Best Mobile Broadband ISP categories of the PC Pro Awards 2010, with the winners expected to be announced on September 30th.
Other firms that earned the nod in the former category include Be Broadband, Eclipse Internet, Freedom2Surf, Post Office Broadband, Sky, Virgin Media and Zen Internet.
In addition, other providers up for the new mobile broadband prize include BT, Orange, Virgin Mobile and Vodafone.
Discussing the awards overall, PC Pro's Tim Danton told the website: "The companies who make our list of finalists have performed above the industry average, so to even make the final list in any of these categories is a fine achievement."
At the end of last month, O2 announced the launch of its new mobile broadband tariff, which is priced at £5 a month.
