Three news

Consumers seeking mobile broadband services this autumn have a range of internet service providers to choose from, on both contracted and pay-per-use terms.

And as competition hots up in the UK market, 3 has added several new options for those seeking a laptop with their dongle.

The firm has refreshed its laptop plus mobile broadband deals, replacing the Samsung R530 4GB and Compaq CQ62 with newer models.

For those unable to wait until Christmas for a new notebook, 3 is offering the Samsung RV510, Compaq Presario CQ56 and Samsung R540 along with its mobile broadband services.

These latest dongle deals are ideal for those seeking flexible internet access and a new laptop, but unwilling to spend several hundreds of pounds in one lump sum.

By signing up with 3, consumers can consolidate their laptop purchase price and monthly internet bill into a single monthly payment over the course of their contract, enabling them to enjoy the best of both worlds.

The Samsung RV510, which 3 charges an initial purchase price of £39.99 for, comes with a 2.3Ghz Intel Pentium Dual Core Processor, a 15.6" LED HD Backlit LED screen, a 500GB Hard Drive, 3GB RAM and a 0.3 Megapixel Integrated Webcam.

Running on the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, the laptop is a stylish addition to 3's laptop portfolio – and an affordable one at that.

Consumers can pay as little as £35 per month for the product over a 24-month contract, for which they receive a free ZTE MF112 Black USB Modem and a 15GB monthly usage allowance.

The other new Samsung addition – the R540- is slightly costlier to new buyers, costing £49.99 up front and then £40 per month for the duration of the same broadband deal.

A 2.4 Ghz Intel Core i3 Processor is included, along with a 15.6" LED HD screen, a 500GB Hard Drive, 4GB RAM, a 0.3 Integrated Webcam and Windows 7 Home Premium.

Last but by no means least, the Compaq Presario CQ56 – which costs £29.99 initially – comes with a free 15GB dongle for £30 per month.

Described by 3 as being "stylish, simple and affordable", the notebook uses a AMD V Series Processor, Windows 7 Home Premium and comes equipped with webcam and stereo speakers.

A 15.6" HD Bright View display is utilised, while the laptop offers a 250GB hard drive and 2GM RAM.
