New AOL subscribers can receive a significant introductory discount when signing up for the firm's standalone broadband services.

The internet service provider is offering one month's free internet service on the Broadband Only tariff, and then charging just £5.31 in months two and three.

For the remainder of the contract, the broadband deal is priced at £15.31 per month.

Consumers signing up for AOL Broadband Only are able to access 8Mb download speeds, and take advantage of a 10GB monthly usage allowance.

A free wireless broadband router is included, allowing laptop users to get online anywhere in the home, while subscribers benefit from a hassle-free set-up.

Households seeking home phone services as well as internet can gain a £10 discount for three months on AOL Broadband + Calls.

The package, which is ordinarily priced at £10.20 per month, costs £5.20 for the first three months.
