UK consumers are being invited to tune into Sky 3 this weekend to sample the satellite broadcaster's top subscription TV content free of charge.

Sky, a leading provider of TV and broadband bundles, is welcoming Freeview customers in behind its paywall between February 11th and 13th.

Non-Sky subscribers will be able to tune into a range of popular shows over the weekend, including Got to Dance, Cougar Town and An Idiot Abroad – programmes they may previously only have heard about from friends and family.

The free weekend pass will also allow Brits to catch a first glimpse of Steve Buscemi's smash Prohibition-era hit Boardwalk Empire, which premiered on Sky Atlantic last week.

One of the top-rated US shows, the sizzling Jazz Age drama has received rave reviews so far, and Sky 3 will be broadcasting the first two episodes for all to see on Sunday evening.

Meanwhile, the first episode of Mad Dogs - a psychological thriller starring Ashes to Ashes' Phillip Glenister - will also get a one-off airing on Freeview this weekend.
