Internet service providers Orange and T-Mobile have announced they will be amongst the first firms in the UK to stock Apple's new iPad 2.

The mobile firms made their announcement shortly after Apple Chief Executive Officer Steve Jobs unveiled the new device to a rapt audience in San Francisco.

T-Mobile used Twitter to announce to its broadband deals subscribers that the new iPad would feature in its latest product line-up.

"Both ourselves and Orange will be stocking the iPad 2 when it becomes available in the UK," the firm stated.

Other mobile broadband providers including Vodafone and O2 have not yet announced whether they will be selling Apple's latest tablet PC.

Recently, T-Mobile claimed that the traditional nine-to-five was a thing of the past thanks to smartphones, tablet PCs like the iPad and ubiquitous high-speed broadband.

The firm said that flexible working is becoming the norm and mobile technologies were playing a major part in the seismic shift in workplace practices.
